Here is an email from Bridget:
We thank you for all the well wishes for safety. We have instructed our teams to turn off their systems and charge up their laptops, phones and other devices. Many of us are resting up as we know that once the storm passes we will have several days of assessments to begin and possible damage to various locations.
We will not be responding to individual emails over the next several hours as we are all hunkered down in our homes and monitoring the storm. We manage property from Port Charlotte to Parish, so we will see some areas of damage for sure. We are just praying that it is minimal.
We have had over 200 responses from our notifications that were sent to ZONE A locations that residents had evacuated. We have 83 that are sheltering in place. We know that many of our board members are out of the area and very concerned about what is going on here. We have reports of power outages throughout the area, but some is being quickly restored. The storm is crawling as was predicted. We will be under the heavy rain, wind and threat for tornados for up to another 12 hours or more.
We know that you are eager for specific information and we will provide information as it becomes available. For the barrier islands, we have been told that it may be Friday or Saturday before we are allowed access back to the islands. If that is the case, we will start our main land inspections first. Working from waterfront out towards I-75.
Once we have a better understanding of the magnitude of the damage, we will finalize our communications network. Plan A is that we will have the main office open for calls and emails will be forwarded to a central collection point. Plan B is that we shift this to the Lakewood Ranch office.
For damage reports we are requesting that you email us and use “IAN DAMAGE” in the subject line followed by your association name ex: “IAN DAMAGE GLEN OAKS MANOR”. Then you will send that email to your property manager, but also copy in both

Megan- mmcleod@caseymanagement.com
This will allow us to file these reports and track them. Other staff will be involved in the tracking of the claims, but this will be our internal filing system. Keep the report brief and attach a picture or two if you can as a jpeg format. Make sure you include the address of your location as we may have staff working on this reporting that are not as familiar with your location as your property manager.
We will continue to provide updates to the Board Members once the storm has passed. Once we are able to finalize our stage 1 response we will get that notification out to asap.
Thank you,
Bridget Spence
